While Alex slept after a night out, I hopped on the bus and visited 'Poble Espanyol'. (Spanish town) An open-air architectural museum. Built for the 1929 Barcelona International Expo, the museum consists of 117 full-scale buildings replicated from different places in Spain, joined forming a small town. It was lovely to walk around as I arrived early before the crowds.
Back to the hotel to collect Alex as we had to swap hotels. A quiet afternoon, we found a 'Corgi Cafe' that we sat in while waiting for our turn to enter 'Gaudi's' Familia Sagrada. Worth the wait! The most beautiful building I have ever entered. It is 100 yrs old and still being built. I nice meal at a restaurant not far from our hotel for our last night in Barcelona
